Qualified Certified Tank (CT) Inspector – Job Description

Qualifications/Certifications
- Full Certification as a CT Inspector (a minimum of 3 years of documentable experience in a qualified facility & a High School diploma)
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of methods required to perform Tank Inspections according to USDOT regulations
- Complete knowledge and understanding of the safe and proper use of various testing equipment, gauges, and measuring devices required to properly complete tanker inspections
Job Duties
- Perform & document HM Inspections including Internal, External, Leakage, and thickness examinations on MC-306, MC-307, MC-312, DOT-406, DOT-407, and DOT-412 tankers
- Perform & document Method 27 EPA Leak Tests on MC-306 & DOT-406 fuel tankers
- Perform & document Pressure Re-Tests on MC-306, MC-307, MC-312, DOT-406, DOT-407, and DOT-412 tankers
- Perform vapor evacuation on fuel tankers in a safe and efficient manner including proper testing with LEL Meter
- Perform required repairs on various valves, vents, and pump equipment
